Jung’s “personality #2” values Gnosis—direct experiential knowledge of the Self—above all else. But he feared that his Gnostic vision would be misinterpreted or institutionalized by those seeking to codify his work. Dzogchen, the contemplative science of mind, hs unveiled the mind’s innermost nature as a nondual, Gnostic realization of the Self or Unus Mundus. A meaningful dialogue between Jungian psychology and Dzogchen mind science could illuminate the vital interdependence between psychology in time and spirituality beyond time—each completing what the other lacks.
